Abyat e Bahoo Kamil

Abyat e Bahoo Kamil is complete and authentic collection of Sultan Bahoo’s famous Sufi poetry. The unique attribute of this poetry is that it is in fact an exegesis of Quran and Hadith. Therefore, these Abyat are widely read and listened to at various shrines, Khanqahs, Sufi gatherings, and mosques. Over the course of time some people had made alterations to these Abayat. It was hard to find an authentic copy. Therefore, it was strongly felt that an authentic, original and well-researched collection of Sultan Bahoo poetry was needed.

Restoring Sultan Bahoo Poetry to its original glory

The present Shaikh of Sultan Bahoo’s Sarwari Qadri order, Sultan ul Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib ur Rehman undertook this task. After a research and hard work of 17 years, he completed compiling this book – Abyat e Bahoo Kamil. He is not only a Perfect Spiritual Guide but also a philosopher and a researcher who has keen interest in literature. He has written and published more than 21 books to date on Faqr (Sufism).

In order to truly understand a Saint’s teachings, it is important to be familiar with his life, teachings and the terminology that he uses in his literary work. In Abyat e Bahoo, Sultan ul Ashiqeen has provided a brief but comprehensive biography of Sultan Bahu. Not only that but he has also summarised Sultan Bahoo teachings from all his other books in topics. At the end of each topic, Sultan ul Ashiqeen has listed all the related verses of poetry in an order. With each verse, he has not only defined difficult words but has also provided a detailed explanation of that verse. Another point worth highlighting is that, Sultan ul Ashiqeen has very intelligently compared the difference of opinion about some Abyat and then provided the real explanation and the message that Sultan ul Arifeen wanted to convey.

Abyat e Bahoo Kamil is a well-researched book for which Sultan ul Ashiqeen consulted hundreds of old and rare hand written drafts of the same. During study of this book, it feels as if Sultan Bahoo spiritually helped and guided Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen throughout this book’s research.
